Not sure why my details got deleted on first post but here it is: First time going there after living in Lafourche parish most of my life! Definitely gonna be our regular stop when we back home ! Seafood platter was delicious, kind friendly service ! Minimal wait for food to be ready considering it’s cooked to order & the place was busy on a Friday night ! Loved everything
The food is always great. The service was fast and pleasant. I guess my only concern is that there is not too much light. It's the atmosphere but old people can't see good anyway.
Politz has been the BEST EVER in town! They been around a long time. I used to go eat at the other one with my grandmaw, when I was way younger. 😁 love this place and the people.
Update 2/9/23: This time I tried the fried seafood platter, which includes fish, shrimp, and bacon-wrapped shrimp, and fries. It was all delicious! The shrimp were so large that I had to cut them in half to eat them. I've never had bacon-wrapped shrimp before, highly recommended! We also had fried mushrooms and eggplant appetizers, very light breading, great flavor. As usual, large portions (I brought home enough for lunch), and excellent service. 2022: My broiled flounder with almonds was bland. My sister had fried catfish, looked much better. Everyone else loved it, so perhaps I just made an unfortunate choice this time. Service was great, large portions, good value.

Great steak and seafood served here!! The food tastes AMAZING!! The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet, like a peaceful home-like feeling. The servers were very friendly and everyone is kind.... but it took forever to get our food!! We were there later in the evening, so maybe what we ordered had to be cooked from scratch. The food was worth the long wait because it tasted so good!! WILL definitely be going back again!
The staff was super friendly and the food was very good. The portions were very generous. I am from out of town and was looking for a place to eat. The parking lot was full, so I knew it had to be a good place to pick. There is a very nice neighborhood vibe here. Everyone seemed to know everyone. I'd recommend.
Hospitable Service and Delicious Food. This place has always been my top favorite place in all of Thibodaux. There is great food, greater service and staff works very hard to keep things running smoothly. Recently tha COVID 19 precautions have had them facing difficulties in seating and serving large crowds but they have shown real integrity as a business. Their back section had an air conditioner problem and instead of placing patrons in that room for profit, they kept it closed and lost a significant amount of money in doing so. They did not choose to put profit before public safety. I have been there in suit and tie and in sweatpants and tee shirt and have been treated with Respect and generosity both times. Reservations may now be made over phone calls recently. For as long as this business exists, they will have a customer in me.
Please understand as I write this review I’m enjoying my fabulous meal. This was my first time ordering (doordash delivered). I got the loaded baked potato, hamburger steak with gravy/onions, and chickens&sausage gumbo. Everything is beyond delicious I plan to order other things from menu but wow I’m super impressed considering it’s my 1st time ordering
